Craft
How It's Made
Materials
We work in solid oak, walnut, maple, and cherry sourced from domestic suppliers. No MDF cores, no veneer faces on structural pieces. The wood you see is the wood that holds the piece together.
Joinery
Mortise-and-tenon and dovetail construction for chairs and case goods. We choose the joint for the load, not for speed. Pieces built this way do not loosen over time the way hardware-assembled furniture does.
Finishing
Oil, wax, and lacquer finishes are all available. Oil and wax are renewable and repairable at home. Lacquer is harder and suits high-use surfaces. We recommend what fits your piece and your household.
